Kick-off Workshop Sectoral Transformation

5th of September 2024 in Berlin, in cooperation with DIW

Efficient coordination and synchronisation between real economy and financial sector is key for Germany’s as well as Europe’s future economic success. Sectoral transition plans could serve as a key instrument to enable improved and syncronised policy development, creating common ground for joint commitments in shaping the industrial strategy debate. Some of our European partners and competitors have already taken concrete steps to cease this potential in a targeted manner.

On September 5th, a group of representatives from the real economy, the financial sector and academia discussed views on the status quo of implementation of sectoral transition plans in Germany and Europe. The discussion focused along three central aspects – scenarios, indicators, policy framework – and identified next steps. Please find attached the agenda and summary of the discussion.
