Constant dialogue and cooperation are key success factors and an important basis for legitimizing our work. We were therefore all the more pleased that representatives of all our key stakeholder groups accepted our invitation to the breakfast. Firstly, it is important to us that we proceed transparently, as transformation and its financing are a matter of absolute trust. Furthermore, it is important to us to have the results of our work regularly validated by all stakeholder groups involved and to further develop them with the help of the expertise we have gained – because structural change is teamwork.
Our takeaway from the breakfast:
Our proposed solution of transformation partnerships - based on the Danish “Climate Partnerships” - could become a “game changer” for Germany. Over 400 concrete recommendations on how change can succeed. Around 80% of these have already been implemented. Our northern neighbors show us how it's done. Let's imitate them.
For the transformation to succeed, we need a targeted, structured exchange between all stakeholders. And: binding implementation. “Walk the talk”. But then really do it.
We need a strategy for more than one legislative period. Transformation does not adhere to a rigid four-year cycle.
